Reblog if you ship Destiel.
I am genuinely intrigued how many of us there are-or if we are few and vocal. :D

Dean & Cas - A Thought
I was thinking about how Dean acts with Castiel, and how he’s especially affectionate to him when they’re alone, and how it’s especially gay because Dean isn’t a touchy person. He always has his guard up and he doesn’t do little things like fixing peoples ties and putting his arm around them, only for Cas. It’s like he’s just at ease around him, yet he’s not at the same time because Castiel makes him feel things he’s afraid of, afraid to let happen and afraid to get hurt at the end of it.
Even though he tried, he got hurt anyway. You can’t stop love.
You know, you’re absolutely right, and I never really thought about those scenes in that context before.
He doesn’t really even touch Sam or Bobby, even in a manly way, all that often. And yet he’s completely comfortable stepping in, fixing Cas’s tie, opening his coat to put the ID in, draping his arm over him when Cas doesn’t get laid? That’s not just a slap on the shoulder, and he wouldn’t do that with anyone else.
It’s something that’s so easy to look over as insignificant, but it’s true. Dean only touches when it means something, and it’s not often. Guhh, they just need to confess themselves already.
it’s fascinating to me how conscious, and yet unconscious space is for them
because at times they’re almost hyperaware of their own proximity (“Cas, we talked about this”) and the tension is palpable and almost so thick that if they were to move at all the world would break. but then at other times it’s just astonishing how unconsciously attuned they’ve become to the other, and it’s never more apparent than when they are forced apart: the desperate distance between them in 6x20, that harsh chasm that neither really seemed to understand was the feeling of absence of the other.
this ship man, this ship.
Wow, this got so many notes! I completely agree with all your comments and love you for them!
I was thinking, you know the way sometimes shows release a DVD that focus’ on one character’s story arch? For example they did it with Buffy The Vampire Slayer, you could buy a Willow or Xander DVD etc. Imagine if they did this with Castiel? Firstly that would be AMAZING, but secondly I think watching everything that Castiel has done in the past 3 years cut together without all the stuff in between to cloud how things look, would really show how apparent his feelings for Dean are, and also Dean’s feelings for him. I mean, it’s obvious to us that they’re in love, especially obvious on Castiel’s part, but for people who just watch episode by episode over 3 years and don’t really focus on that arch, it’s easy to forget moments or not really remember what’s been going on.
